H-shaped design
Two linked straps encircle the neck and the ribcage. The load never bears on the throat, unlike a plain collar.
Sliding straps
Each strap adjusts along its full length: the harness follows a growing kitten as readily as a stocky adult cat.

A light thread woven into the webbing returns light, useful for an animal going out at dusk.

Why a collar is not enough for a cat
A startled cat backs away in one motion and is out of a collar in a second, because its head is barely wider than its neck. The H-harness closes two separate loops, one behind the head and one behind the front legs: backing away tightens the whole thing instead of releasing it.
Getting the animal used to it, in stages
Most cats freeze the first time. Common practice is to leave the harness on for a few minutes a day indoors, without the lead, until the animal walks normally in it — only then attach the lead, only then go outside. The sliding straps let you start very loose and take it in day by day.
